Years later, Ford, Joe’s son, a U.S. Navy waste management official, has to go to Japan to help an estranged father who is obsessed with finding the truth. A father and son reveal the secret cause of the disaster on the wreck. This will enable them to witness the revival of a terrible threat to all of humanity, exacerbated by another secret resurrection elsewhere. Godzilla may be the only hope in the world against this catastrophe, but the challenge for the king of monsters is great, even though humanity is trying to understand their destructive ally.
