Facts About Allergy

ALLERGY IS GENETICALLY TREANSMITTED

Allergy is genetically transmitted immune disease. If two parents have allergic genes or suffering from allergic symptoms or have family history of allergies then 3 out of 4 children will develop allergies and if on parent has allergy then two out of 4 children will develop allergies at any age from childhood to old age

ALLERGY PROGRESSES BOTH IN SEVERETY AND FREEQUENCY WITH TIME:- Normally allergy starts as milder symptoms which appear only sometimes e.g a person initially starts having sneezing off and on and nasal obstruction but as time passes it becomes severe and more frequent and then starts having sneezing , obstruction of nose, watery nose, watery eyes, itching eyes, itching ears, headache, sore throat, feverish feeling, fatigue and tiredness, memory and concentration affected, becomes irritable and aggressive starts having depressive episodes. So occasional sneezing becomes severe with time and more frequent.

SHIFTING OF ORGANS: – Most of the patients who have allergic sneezing or nose allergies develop asthma and then asthma becomes severer and severer with time and starts having difficulty of breathing and wheezing problems more frequently. One having asthma or nose allergy can be free of these symptoms and then suddenly they start having rashes on the skin or eczema or Irritable Bowel Syndrome, or unexplained headache or chronic fatigue syndrome. It is infact shifting of organs and affect of allergy in different organs. Cause is the same and the affect is on different organs

ALLERGY IS GENETICALLY TREANSMITTED

Allergic diseases affect about 15-20% 0f the population .A child whose parents do not suffer from allergy has a 15 % chance of becoming allergic, If the mother is allergic the risk increases to 60 % and if both parents are allergic the risk is 80%(sometimes allergies can jump a generation)

Most people believe that allergy is just Nasal allergy or asthma or rashes on the skin. Infact this is only the tip of the iceberg whereas allergy affects every system of the body from head to the toe. A person having nasal allergy or asthma or Urticaria will not have typical symptoms but most of these patients also have headache, brain fogging, itching skin, rashes, eczema, pain abdomen, diarrhea/ constipation, gas abdomen, bloating, depression, pains aches in the body, memory and concentration affects, fatigue and tiredness, irritability and aggressiveness, frequent urination, obesity,

CROSS REACTONS CAN OCCUR BETWEEN FOODS AND ALLERGENS PRESENT IN THE AIR

If a person is having asthma or nose allergy to pollens then he may develop similar allergic symptoms by eating certain foods eg if a person develops asthma with birch pollens in USA and he may develop similar symptoms when he comes to UAE where there are no birch pollens then he may be having similar symptoms by eating foods like Nuts, Apple, Pear, Peaches, Plums, Cherries, Carrots, Peanuts and Soya. This is because the Birch pollens and these foods share the antigens and there is CROSS REACTION OF BIRCH POLLEN AND ABOVE MIENTIONED FOODS.
Similarly, persons having asthma or nose allergy due to Ragweed pollen can develop same symptoms by eating Melon or banana foods like banana, chestnuts, kiwi, and avocados
Patients allergic to grass pollen can cross react by eating Potatoes, Peanuts, Peas, Wheat, Rye, Peaches, Watermelon. Orange. Patients allergic to Latex will have allergic symptoms by eating
IT SHOULD BE REMEMBERED THAT IF SOME ONE IS ALLERGIC TO ABOVE FOODS AND HAVE ALLERGIC SYMPTOMS LIKE RASHES OR URTICATIA OR ASTHMA AFTER EATING ABOVE FOODS THEN THEY CAN HAVE SAME SYMPTOMS WHEN THEY ARE NOT EATING THESE FOODS BUT ARE EXPOSED TO ABOVE POLLENS ONLY
SECONDLY IF ALLERGY VACCINE IS TAKEN FOR POLLENS MENTIONED ABOVE THEN THEIR RELEVANT FOOD ALLERGY IS ALSO CURED
